Flint Tolley was born in Bowral, NSW, Australia. When he was three years old he moved with his family to Brisbane, QLD. Two years later Flint moved with his family again, to Cairns in Tropical North Queensland. At 10, he moved with his family to Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands. 16 months before graduating highschool in 2015, Flint began Backyard Blasters. He continued operating Backyard Blasters online store until 2020 when he closed it. Between 2020 and 2023 Flint wrote and released music and poetry, travelled and worked various jobs. In 2024 Flint enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force and served at Wagga Wagga and on HMAS Cerberus (Name a more beautiful military base in Australia). He discharged in 2025. This year, Flint moved to Atherton where he is focusing on boat design and has re-opened Backyard Blasters online store. When he is not designing boats, Flint devotes his time to music, movies, nerf wars, mountain biking, walking, and on cold evenings with a clear sky, stargazing around the fireplace in his backyard.
